The new Doctor Who logo i thought was quite good, i liked the way the DW was made to look like the Police Box and although its not that clever it terms of effects...
Here's one i did on a simple online logo generator...

I still think its OK, after all said and done sometimes less is more and i can see the DW being used effectively in its own right.

Will the new show be any good? well anyone following David Tennant is going to have a rough time of it, this Doctor is going to be one hard act to follow and i believe in the future will be put up as a definitive Who much in the same way as Tom Baker was in his time.

another thing to remember is that along with Torchwood we have rather been spoilt for good TV sci-fi as both Who and Wood have been excellent examples of the genre.

i look forward with much anticipation to the new Who, all those who thought it was all over with Chris Eccleston and Rose certainly had to eat their words as Tennant and Martha forged forward.
Lets hope that the same applies.

i do think that they should make that skirt length standard issue for all police women under twenty five in the real world though Laughing

Having now seen a number of photos of location filming of the new series, my anticipation remains high for 2010.

Still, glad that Waters of Mars airs in less than a couple of weeks. I had hoped that the specials might have been spread more evenly over the year, but I think that the November episode in some way links in with the final two specials (showing Christmas Day and New Year's Day) in the same way that the season three and four finales did.

Anyone see DT in Sarah Jane? Good fun, even if the Doctor didn't do that much. Still, it's not his show. Wink
