I like it, gives us the story and then your opinion, simple but effectively layout.
I'd agree on some of the points of the ASM review, though I think I like the story a little more but you're right about something bubbling in the background that makes you want to read more, I WANT THE NEXT ISSUE. Though the art could do with something a little more impressive but I've noticed that most Spider-Man art isn't that fantastic. _________________ Pro Massacre Boy!
I can't say I'm all that fussed on the 'They Say/CapO Says' slant although that's probably because I read the solicits far in advance. It's good - as long as it doesn't affect the depth of your reviews (which can be quite good).
I casn't speak for the content of ASM yet but you've hit the nail on the head with regard to Ron Garney. He's an able artist but nothing amazing. Spidey's premier title deserves a premier artist and Garney isn't it. I sometimes wonder if it's a case of the artist suiting the writer; I heard once from JMS' Top Cow days that he can be quite a demanding, and detailed, script-writer (which led to Keu Cha being booted off of Rising Stars after only a couple of issues). May be completely irrelevant to ASM but worth mentioning.
Ah, Black Panther. Again, CapO is right. I bought Black Panther and enjoyed the first story arc... before hating everything that followed. Needless to say, I've dropped it since and it still doesn't interest me now.
Iron Fist. I'll buy it in trade. I can't afford every good Marvel comic after all.
So, I'm agreeing with CapO. I need to lie down now.
