Are people stil reading Conan??? Just read Midnight God, it was awesome.

The Dark Horse Conan comics are nothing short of spectacular. If I was forced in to a sitiuation where i could ony buy one book a month, Conan would be in the running. It's that good.

As for the films, well as long as the stick close to the original source material they could do something awsome.

by crom, the lat i had heard on a conan film was that it was going to be called "conan the iron King" but there was little more info then that.

I just finished reading a Conan story [not actually a Howard one but a L Sprague De Camp [or something like that]] and it would have made the most amazing Conan Film. It had a slow exploratory Begining, then a killing, story, killing, story, naked ladies, more story, killing, story, killing story, then the biggest battle ive ever read, about 4 different armies fighting and some amazing possibilitly for one on ones and general mob rule.

My point is [and yes I do have one] That there are so many Great Conan Stories out there they could surely make an amazing movie, they just need to try.

I'll believe it when I see it.

A new Conan film has been rumoured for several years now and I daresay those rumours will continue for some more before we actually see one.

Maybe I'm wrong... maybe I'm not... all depends how far they're in pre-production, I guess.

it would seem that 2010 could be the return of the sword and sorcery genre in movies, as well as movies of red sonja and fafhad and the gray mouser, lionsgate is fast tracking conan, a script is in the works.
