for anyone who cares, which sould be most everyone who posts, there is a free 78min doc on Alan moore if people who want to see it go on the internet movie database website homepage and scroll down they will find a link to the doc from there.
I didn't agree with all of it (although I thought the working definition of magic as the art of symbolic manipulation was pretty spot on) but it provoked a lot of discussion - which is exactly what you want.
I think this the most I have ever heard Alan Moore say in the entire time I have been reading his comics.
There were also some really nice bits where there was film interpretation of V for Vendetta and Watchmen. Not literal "acting out" as you get in an adaptation but more to express the same "feel" on film.
It also made me remember that Alan Moore has written some good "erotic comics writing" after all my whinging about BD. There is a story in The Sage of The Swamp Thing where a dying woman has sex with her husband one last time out in the garden and passes into nature as she dies - which is beautiful and moving and sexy all at the same time. _________________
