Well, I didn't want to be spoiled... but then I couldn't resist!
I skimmed through it... and, wow, if you don't want to be spoiled, don't read this. There are several key plot points here in addition to the provision of two, perhaps, three, major easter eggs.
I was getting excited about this film after reading the article in Empire last week. Now, though, I can't wait!
Looks like the latent Trekkie in me is starting to wake up...
This one's easily the best one so far. If anything, Star Trek is promising to be one of the must-see films of the year. _________________ With Great Power, Comes Great... Potential to ROB BANKS!!! HAHAH! THAT'S HOW TO BEAT THE RECESSION!!!
What I like is that they've managed to not give away the whole story in the trailer. The new Wolverine trailer (another one that looks good) managed the same thing.
The new Public Enemies trailer (New Michael Mann film about John Dillinger) gave away a good half of the film in the first 50 seconds, I turned it off after that! _________________ Pro Massacre Boy!
Saw both the new Wolverine and the New Trek trailers at the Watchmen screening, both look well good, and make me wonder just how much money are they going to throw at the sci fi genre before it drys up. _________________

I laughed when the Trekkie's accused the studio of making Star Trek into something people might actually like.
and them being angry by the subtitles for the Klingon's, because only people who have studied the language should be able to understand them.
F**king Trekkie's. What a bunch of twats.
Personally i cant wait to see it, i haven't heard a bad word about it, and even Deb's looking forward to seeing it _________________
We saw the film a couple of weeks ago now and I have to say that I did enjoy the film. It wasn't quite 'Trek' which is probably why more people will like it and I can understand why some of the Trekkies out there are a bit narked that it isn't as intelligent as some of the previous films.
This was more of an action Star Trek but it also managed to handle the characters pretty well and at the same time position itself so that they can do what they like to the characters and not have it affect the standard Trek canon.
My one main gripe with the film (and it isn't just this film, Transformers stand up) is that they keep crowbarring these painfully 'funny' scenes into films that don't need them. You will know the scenes when you see them and sadly it is becoming a more common affair for the directors/scriptwriters/studios to stick these 'silly' scenes in which just aren't funny, e.g. In Transformers the scene where the autobots are trying to hide around the house.
