Just as a little revisit to this subject, i was talking to my brother in law the other day who happens to live in Holland.
He was moaning about the fact that a smoking ban was like other european countries being introduced in Holland, an outrage he cried, when i go out drinking with my friends we have to go to a special smoking room to have a cigarette.
Shit i replied, that not on is it, no he said, that's OK i replied, because here you have to actually leave the building if you want to smoke.
With this he fell silent for a second, and then said, what do you mean outside, what like out of the building, yes i replied, No, he said, i don't believe you.
Only in England, the land of the Free, i replied. _________________

But how will you do the burns? Surely you won't have those nasty cigarettes with you?
Bats - the only country in Europe with no smoking ban (so far) is Switzerland. I did here a good story once about a someone who went to ameeting at Phillip Morris headquarters in Holland (obviosuly before the ban) where they had bowls of cigarettes and lighters in the middle of the table instead of the more usual biscuits and coffee. _________________

the point is.... i still wouldn't make a guest in my house stand outside in the cold to have a cigarette, not only would it be impolite, but should i be invited to said persons house, i wouldn't expect to stand out side to have a drink, or for that matter to fart.
