Well, Finally got to see this amazing movie, it was rather good wasn't it, interesting how the transition from the 60's Iron man to the now Iron man has so easily and flawlessly been achieved.
When you are talking men in armour i suppose it can be set in any period, well any period that has developed some sort of metal that is.
The enemy has changed, in the original it was a communist that kidnapped Stark and forced him to develop weapons for him (in the sixties the Russians and The Communists were after all Americas enemy)
in this version, surprise surprise, its rag-head terrorists in Afghanistan, humm.
Still the one thing that has not changed is mans advancements in technology and this has been so very well done in this film.
some really nice touches, the crude welding on the mach 1 armour, Jarvis Happy the chauffeur, and Pepper Pots.
For me Pepper was the real star of this movie, she really captured the original character and unlike MJ in Spider-man this girl really is hot, don’t get me wrong R.D.Jr was also superb, but Pepper piped him at the post.
The pair together really touched on that old Stan Lee unspoken love thing beautifully.
I am sure that there are some people that will whinge that the computer generated effects didn't look real enough, (I thought it looked fantastic,) as i am sure that some reviewer will over look some of the political subtleties of the movie.
But do we really care what those people think? no we do not.
Did the Iron Man movie Rock? only a blind stupid deaf moron with no redeeming value would try to say that it didn't.
If this is the beginning of the new generation of Marvel films that the Rise of the Surfer hinted at, and that Spider-Man 3 didn’t,
then we could be in for a hell of a ride.
This is possibly one of the best Marvel Superhero films ever made, if not the best one ever made.
It was AMAZING, nothing to fawlt, the CGI really really worked, the acting was good, the story wasnt rushed or too slow, the Giant robots fighting it out in the street was the opposite of Transformers [meaning it was good]. The nods to the comics were enough but not too much. Better than any spiderman, FF maybe even X-men, but i'll not be too hasty.
Well worth the nothing I paid to see, and would hapily pay again.
LONG LIVE STARK AND EVERYTHING HE STANDS FOR.
did anyone spot Samuel L, cause I was looking, but didnt see him at all. _________________ Itchy... Tasty
