And lest we forget, were it not for the Americans (and I can't believe I'm saying this), we'd probably all be speaking German today.
Adolf Hitler, despite his eccentricities and the mistakes made during the latter years of the war, proved to be an excellent military strategist. His first mistake came when he believed that he could divide his forces by invading Russia while consolidating his stranglehold in Europe and bombing the British. Stupid mistake? Mental mistake? Not really. Over-confident comes to mind.
As for various Nazi horrors (Holocaust) we should learn from these mistakes and do what we can to ensure they never happen again... so what then have the Americans learnt with their terrorist holding camps, I wonder...? _________________ With Great Power, Comes Great... As I don't buy Punisher: War Journal, can you let me know what happened...? Curiousity is killing this cat, y'see! _________________ With Great Power, Comes Great... Potential to ROB BANKS!!! HAHAH! THAT'S HOW TO BEAT THE RECESSION!!!

No and i cant believe you are saying it either, Johnny come lately yanks take the glory, Bah, we still would have won without there help, the Russians helped win the war more than those gum chewing yanks, they were the first to show the Germans that they were not invincible,
and lets not forget the elite British commandos that Churchill created _________________
I'm not so sure we would have won the war without the Americans. I'm not about to give them too much credit but the one advantage they did give us was a numerical one - something we sorely needed for D-Day to work.
But let me ask you this: what do you think would have happened had the Americans not gotten involved?
(Not that this has anything to with Captain Ameri-Punisher but...) _________________ With Great Power, Comes Great... Potential to ROB BANKS!!! HAHAH! THAT'S HOW TO BEAT THE RECESSION!!!

We would have won, simple, remember it was not just Americans and British on D Day, other countries were involved, it was a world war after all. and maybe now we wouldn't be in Americas pocket, dont know about everyone speaking German, that was never going to happen, but we are sure as hell all talking American. _________________
Sadly had the Americans not intervened we would either have won the war over a much longer period of time or we would have lost, for a start when the US came in they lent us much needed money to fund the war effort. Intelligence wise we didn't need the yanks, hardware and personel wise we did. _________________ Pro Massacre Boy!
On a totaly different point, what do people think of the current run on war journals. just read #6 and liked it alot. i'm really enjoying the artwork [pictures and art all together, its like who framed roger rabit, but not moving]. i like the sidekick thing, cause its not too stuck in but its somone to shout at [noowhere near as good as whats her face in MAX was tho]. I do like the fact that it is alot of 1 issue stories, not 6 issue arcs, why does noone else do this [superman has been forced to by delays and if youd read 661 you might try and kill them]. I'm looking forwards to alot of sorting things out, but alot less killing in the next 2 issues, its really going against the MAX titles in that was, but i think that this MAX story has been going far too slowly. _________________ Itchy... I've quite enjoyed the new War Journal series during and post the Civil War, some of the stories have been quite interesting. Issue #5 was quite good fun and again didn't require Frank to shoot anyone in the face. Now that you mention it, the art does have a Who Framed Roger Rabbit style to it, good call. _________________ Pro Massacre Boy!

The Yanks didn't want too be involved in the ww2, they just sat back, until the japs forced their hand, if that had not happened then the still would have held back, why? because whoever won they would have done business with them, ( see the outcome of the vietnam war ) and as for personal and hardware, at what cost? to suggest that you undermine the efforts of the brave non American soldiers who fought and died , we really didn't need them and now were in America's pocket because of it.
so please dont do a Tony Blair on me (i am being polite here)
on a brighter note, i am enjoying Punisher War Journal
