And how can Ska be considered the anything of the rock world? It's got it's roots far more in regge than in rock.
You DO realise that Ska came before Regge, right? Without Desmond Dekker, Bob Marley wouldn't have come around. Regge has its roots in ska.
That was old school 1st Wave Ska, in Jamaca. Then came 2 Tone, with the advent of the Specials and the Skatalites, and skinheads, which really took off over here. Then about 20 years ago, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones speed it up, mixing in heavyer guitars, and keeping the horns, giving birth to that blessed sound that is 3rd Wave Ska, or Ska Punk, or Skacore. _________________ Let There Be Lightning
