Talking of Stilskin - the album was pretty good too.Not bad for a group that was manufactured purely for a jeans add. _________________ Blessed are the cheesemakers
Yeah I thought that too until I saw one of those top 100 shows that was on a few years back. The Ad Agency man knew the singer or possibly the muscian, can't remember which and got together to make the single for the ad.
Acording to wikipedia the actual group only consisted of the singer Ray Wilson and the instrument player Peter Lawlor for the single Inside, the other 2 members were brought in only for the video.
For the Album all 4 members recorded, then broke up with Wilson joining Genesis.
Like I said though, still a pretty good album _________________ Blessed are the cheesemakers

Philistine, steppenwolf were a cool band in there time, and were even on the Easy Rider sound track..... and born to be wild was and is a classic.
on that note let us fast forward to the 70's and David Bowie's "All the young Dudes"
a one hit wonder for Mott the Hoople, but if you wont to know what the 70's was about its all in that one song, perfect.
little known fact, Bowie wrote "Drive in Saturday" for Mott's follow up single, another great song, Ian Hunter chose to reject it as he thought it was time to use there own material, this upset Bowie so much he shaved his eyebrows off, went and recorded it himself, and had a great hit out of it, Mott the Hoople went on to ...well disappear, old saying when you look a gift horse in the mouth grab it with both hands, the could have had half an hours fame, instead they got the statuary fifteen minutes, shame
