Does it have co-op story? HA, dear dear. It Has 4 player co-op story with drop in drop out system. In simple that means someone presses start and they join in, no going back to menu's.
From my reckoning its going to be absoloutely amazing, i did a small write up on it under Nov games thread, but one day before release it was delayed and now is not out until an unspecified time in 2008. However your friendly neighbourhood geek was smart enough to check the preorder section under free radical's own website and it said May.
Made by the goldeneye and timesplitters team with co-op a fantastic plot closly tied to game mechanics, this one can't possibly be anything but great.
My only concern is that it was delayed in november and is out in May! What went so wrong to delay it half a year? _________________ Ninjarific
well for co-op ps3 is running away with it at the mo. Resistance fall of man 2 has been annouced to not only have 64 player versus online but an 8 player co-op mode online too. 8 player story? AWESOME! _________________ Ninjarific
...and what a crushing disappointment Haze turns out to be.
CatFang and I bought this on Friday, and we're trading it back at our earliest opportunity. It's graphically unimpressive, the voice acting is jarring, the AI is the worst I've seen in a long time and the damn thing's buggy as Hell. I actually managed to fall out of a map during our last game! That's right - I clipped straight through a wall on the hotel level and fell right out of the map.
A lot of the game is played out in the dark, bad guys actually spawn right in front of you and there are scripted events that simply don't take additional co-op players into account (bridges that fall down when the first player crosses them, for example). About the most fun Cat and I have managed to have with this turd was watching me getting run over and killed by a stationary, overturned vehicle.
Here's a question I have, why do people trade recently bought games? Why not just take it back and get a refund? If I've bought a game and decide that it's a pile of shit, I want all the money back and not just a portion. _________________ Pro Massacre Boy!
As far as I was aware you can do that because of the Electronics Sales act or something. I've done it in game. But if you're unsure then you just lie
'I would like to return this game as it was a present for someone and he's already bought it.'
'I would like to return this game as it doesn't seem to play'
See, sorted!
Or if you want to get technical, with PC games you have to agree to an End User License Agreement to play the game. If you don't agree with the EULA then you are advised to take the product back for a refund as stated in the EULA. _________________ Pro Massacre Boy!
Never heard of any "Electronic Sales Act", but Game's policy is to only offer refunds if the item is returned unopened. I'm not up on the legal stuff, but CatFang is so I'll check with her. There are Distance Selling Regulations that are similar to what you describe, but they don't count if you physically buy something in a shop. I do know that the "bought it for a friend" defence won't wash at our local Game, because I've watched it fail more than once.
Definitely worth looking into, though, because this game severely fails to live up to standard.
