well i thought that the first episiode of season 2 was lots of fun, james masters did not over act which was good. and the tone of the show has changed for the better. thought it was good all round. bring on the rest.
I wasn't 100% convinced by the first episode but was glad to see there was a bit of a shift to try and make the characters more likeable and include more humour. I thought that the deadpan line "Excuse me, have you seen a blowfish driving a sports car?" was funny.
I do think that the Torchwood writers still seem to be substiuting making a character gay or bisexual a substiute for making them interesting though. _________________
Yes, but do we need to be reminded of this in almost every episode in such a tactless and unsubtle way. It was so obvious what was going to happen when Jack and John first stared at each other in the bar, I'd have been surprised if they hadn't kissed.
We get it .....
Things like Captain Jack saying "Hello" to everyone and the Doctor saying "Stop it" (from Utopia), or Captain John being driven down the road fancying everything that moved, including a poodle, make the point in a much funnier and subtle way.
Besides, RTD's point that in the future everyone is bisexual, suggests that he thinks that it's some form of human evolution, strikes me as being utter bollocks ... _________________

But apparently Captain Jack has it written into his contract that he must have at least three gay kisses per season, and get to pick the actors he wants to kiss, or he is not playing _________________
