I wasn't 100% convinced by the first episode but was glad to see there was a bit of a shift to try and make the characters more likeable and include more humour.  I thought that the deadpan line "Excuse me, have you seen a blowfish driving a sports car?" was funny.

I do think that the Torchwood writers still seem to be substiuting making a character gay or bisexual a substiute for making them interesting though.

Yes, but do we need to be reminded of this in almost every episode in such a tactless and unsubtle way.  It was so obvious what was going to happen when Jack and John first stared at each other in the bar, I'd have been surprised if they hadn't kissed.

We get it .....

Things like Captain Jack saying "Hello" to everyone and the Doctor saying "Stop it" (from Utopia), or Captain John being driven down the road fancying everything that moved, including a poodle, make the point in a much funnier and subtle way.

Besides, RTD's point that in the future everyone is bisexual, suggests that he thinks that it's some form of human evolution, strikes me as being utter bollocks ...

no we don't, the last i knew was that there is a time and a place, this is neither the time or the place.

But apparently Captain Jack has it written into his contract that he must have at least three gay kisses per season, and get to pick the actors he wants to kiss, or he is not playing Wink

This is quite worrying, we are talking about paradoxes and torchwood, and the google ads are about Gay Dating....
so Has Torchwood become a gay dating agency or what Question
Fuck me (or not) i thought Torchwood was a Doctor Who spin off in the Sci-Fi vein.
Silly me Laughing
