Saw an interesting thread on the Marvel website earlier, talking about who would win between Cable (fully powered) and Superman. So who do you think would win?

I'm really torn I read some of the arguments on the marvel site and both sides had good points but in the end I'm going to side with Superman winning because while Cable has amazingly strong telekinesis so that he could take apart molecules etc that's based on Earth and things from Earth. Superman is pretty much impenetrable.

I'm Plumbing for Cable, i think everyone is still hyped up from the Superman film.

Plus Cable is a smart chap, he will just get hold of a supply of Kryptonite and then its bye bye Superman.

It's a tough one. On the one hand Batman would probable sell Clark out and give Cable a chunk of krytonite. But on the other Cable would probably be too hung up over his teen drama family problems or telling Deadpool to stop cramping his style.

When you think about it, Cable DOES look a bit like Doomsday.

I think he is refering to the time when Batman and Superman had a bit of a "tussle" and Batman got hold of some krytonite (which he has know got in a secret stash somewhere) just in case he has problems with Superman again.

Which he might lend to Cable, if he is feeling nice, or if Superman has gone a bit rogue.

But let's face it, if Superman can't defeat Batman what chance has he got against Cable.

I had forgotten about the Kryptonite, though in a straight fight I'd still say Superman.

In a straight fight between the two superman has the speed to outrun cable. Cables powers stretch a long way, but not long enogh, and superman in his current state is in the perfect condition, i dont think cable really stands a chance.

One question, what do you guys think of cables current abilities and costume, i'm not that big a fan.

PS i'm fairly sure that superman gave batman a kryptonite ring, but in Lex Lutor: Man of steel last year batman had a big chunk of it, so i might be wrong

Well i suppose the bigest question here is:

Is Superman faster than the speed of thought?

I thought that Superman was super intelligent and thought faster than anyone etc. On the subject of Cables new powers etc I'm not keen, I liked the fact that he becoming/became pretty damned powerful. I guess Marvel decided that he needed balancing in some respect.

Neither of them would win.

Batman would though.

Batman would show up, mesmerise Cable by creating a device that would reverse his telepathic abilities when used against him and then use them to mind-control Superman into thinking he's got a kryptonite heart.
