White Stripes: Icky ThumpAnyone get the new White Stripes album? I did and it's pretty good. Not a change in musical direction, or likely to win over many new fans, but if you do like them, check it out.

For some reason i an not stant the White Stripes.
I dont think they are bad - I just really, really do not like them.#
Their lyrics seem to be mostly complete gibberish.
Talented - but i hate them!!!

I'd agree about the lyrics - there's one song on the CD called "Rag and Bone" where they sing about going to people's houses and getting stuff for Rag and Bone. It's my favourite track.

I love the White Stripes, one of the most talented duo's ever, ask John Peel, oh you cant, he's brown bread,
but when he was with us he had a box of singles which to all intents and purposes were all his very favourites,
in this box you would find gems like teenage kicks complete with the original letter sent to him by the undertones thanking him for playing their record,
now to be included in this box was something special, and all bands could ever hope is to have at least one record in there,
a pinnacle in anyones career.
The White Stripes had five  Nuff Said i Think.
ive been waiting for there new album with much anticipation, didn't realize it was finally out
thanks Web of, i shall indeed be making a purchase

Haven't heard this yet though I like the White Stripes, they have a nice raw bluesy feel which more music needs! Rockin!

I liked it.... But.
its still has a way to go in order to capture the sheer intensity and originality of the first album, which is still my favorite.
Maybe i should crank it up, to 50,000 watts of power
