WOW this month is hard, 12 count them 12 games i want and i'm moving out, so if anyone needs anything for cash just ask me (advertising that on the internet bad idea or just around these people)

Any whoo picking out the stunners from the lame is going to be a hard one and i'm gonna have to risk my rep on a few but here goes!

edit Many many games means i only have time for the cream of the crop, if it aint here don't buy it without asking me first! You can always ignore me and be disapointed later!

Assasins Creed

What more can be said about this game? Its pretty much got game of the year in the bag. For those not in the know Assasins creed is based in the crusades and you play (suprise suprise) an assasin taking out the lead knights of the crusades.

13 targets and many mini missions and additional targets promised may seem like a rather short game but consider this. Everything you can see in the video i posted above can be reached. Jerusalam has been recreated as historically accurately as possible, so its friggin huge. 3 towns of this size with many small villages surrounding make up the game.

When i mentioned you can go anywhere i meant it, no invisable walls no place you can't climb. The Artwork team worked very closely with level design so that if there is a crack in the wall then you can get your fingers in it.

Made by the prince of persia team, the only thing left to say about this is thank the gods its a trilogy that aparently progresses through time so expect to play futuristic assasin in 2010!

Army of Two

Co-op isn't a mode, its the game. Excellent quote from the team behind this stunner. Suddenly noticing the amazing response to gears of war co-op, army of two is pure you and your mate over for beers till 3 in the morning kinda game.

Some plot that will be mildly intresting as the humor seems to have been injected into the serious vain is about creating wars for money or some such bollocks no one cares about in a game like this. Its about the co-op.

You can pimp your guns, hive five your mate, cloths line the enemy and knee your partner in the nuts while argueing over who drives. Aggro bar swing between you and your partener depending on what your doing. If your mate empties an M60 into the enemy they are very much going to pay attention to him and not you, you become invisible for all intensive puposes and can sneak behind the enemy, max out agrresion about every thin slows down and uber ass kicking begins.

All this on top of being able to shove tampons in your partner to stop bleeding makes this one of the most intresting games coming out this month. My only worry is the lack of recent footage, making this also the most possible to disapoint.

Call of duty 4

WW2 is over, activison seem to have finally noticed. The new call of duty takes us away from normandy and berlin and into the modern day ukraine (i don't know if you do go to normandy or berlin in mordern day but it just doesn't sound right), With some of the best graphics ever seen this is the first person shooter everyone else wants to make.

With the disapointment of COD3 soon forgotten, the team seem to have realised they were not producing and pulled their finger out. not much to say that the trailer doesn't, prepare to lose your lives online......although i'll still be on team fortress 2! Very Happy

Mass effect

The people that brought us Star Wars: Knights of the old republic, now bring us another galaxy not so far away. The human race is gonna get wiped out and its down to you and your team to make sure it don't happen. An entire Universe is open to you for exploration, characters can be told to shut the hell up in conversation, guns may be fired.

I purposly have avioded to much of the plot to not ruin the game for myself. I have faith this one is gonna come through smelling of roses. The small sections i've seen about character interaction looks fantatsic with you able to interupt others and it actually have an effect, like verbally bitch slapping some one.

My main concern is i feel the frame rate may chug like a chav in a nightclub, but only release date will tell.

Both the first and second (new) fear expansion in one box for 360.......need more be said? Yes? ok!

Fear was one the best Fps's ever, kicking Half-life 2 and it lack of plot to the ground with its stunning AI and atmosphere, if you haven't played it get out there and find a copy for the best Fps/horror you'll ever play.

More of that in two expansions, might as well have called it the black box and had done with it. Now enough has been said.

Mario Galaxy

As i was saying..... Mario Galaxy is what nintendo call the game thats on par with mario 64, in other words they just said mario sunshine sucks. New costumes, new worlds, new control system and a two player mode?!?

Two player consists of someone pointing at the screen with another wii remote collecting stars, basically for your girl friend so she feels involved and not bored to death and you can get on with it without moaning in your ear.

Not much can be said for gameplay as it all comes down to the wii control scheme working and without being able to play it until its out i can't confim the fact i think its going to be decidedly average.

GAHHHHHH my mind has gone numb more later!!!!!

Mass Effect has annoyed me a little tbh, I'm sure its a great game and thats why it should be on the PC! PC players are the people who put Bioware where they are today so a little loyalty wouldn't have hurt Neutral

CoD 4 demo was really good fun so I'm really looking forward to that and Assassins Guild looks damn good Smile

Made by the people that brought us Hitman, Kane and lynch follows a similar system but you are a mad man escorting a Phycopath nut job to do your jobs! If there was a co-op premise apart from army of two in existance this one should be it........its not, BOO!

A friend in the industry has played it and said it felt a bit dull but he only got half an hour on a early build so who knows. The guys have never gone wrong before.

Multiplayer has caught my eye with basically a modern day cops and robbers mode. You and up to 8 players (i think) have to pull a heist, the level i saw was a bank. You need all the people to work together to hold people down get the safe open, etc. After a while the cops are gonna show so you have to grab as much money as possible, all the money collected will be spilt with all surviors and go toward your rank online.

Notice how i said survivors? The money has to be split right? Time to thin out your team! Take out one of your own guys and you will be branded on screen a backstabber, how you team reacts to this is up to them, they might need you to get past the cops, they might have liked your idea, they may open fire and so does everyone else, leaving you all dead.

But its even more complicated, they guy who died gets to come back as a cop! And he's gonna know where you are and be gunning for you, he even gets 10% reward money for any he recovers. Great idea gonna be good.

Haze - 30th

Ps3 hasn't had the best of luck so far, this month is gonna change that. To help Sony got an exclusive on the fantastic looking Haze. Made by Free radical you can't go wrong. For those who don't know free radical are the guys behind Timesplitters and the original team that made goldeneye on the n64!

Haze is a futuristic game where you play the role of a merc. These mercs are injected with something called nectar, as far as they know this is a combat enhancing drug, as the game goes on you rebel and stop taking nectar. Turns out nectar stops you from seeing the consequences and horrors of war! Suddenly you realise this aint mud i'm walking through its bodies!

Add multiplayer to this and stunning next gen graphics which have been compared to Crysis and we have a winner that should have been in the top list were it not for stiff competion this month.

While there are more to do, Resident evil: umbrela chronicles, Advance wars 2, silent hill origins and more i wanted to cover this one early, its a bit of a suprise......

That trailer above you just watched (didn't you! i don't do this for fun you know Wink

), is fake. Its what your greeted with at the beginning of the game and all you can think is awesome! then you play.... it stops being awesome.

Graphically it looks great, not as great as the trailer you just say but honestly pretty close, there are a couple of problems though:

1. For a game based in the woods alot of the time the grass, leaves, trees and rocks look horribly untextured.
2. You need a Pc built by God himself.

Thankfully my mates was made by jesus so it runs ok. We could just about get away with high with mild frame rate chug, medium was a safe bet. Thats with 2 dual graphics cards running and similar specs all over the pc.

Its unexciting, the powers you suit gives you are uninspired and dull quite quickly. Super strengh was the only one we had fun with.........we may have punched a sea turtle into space and them laughed for about 10 minutes......

you use invisibilty to move from cover to cover then cap someone silently and then you change to armor cos no matter what you did your spotted! then you realise that even with your uber gun that you can hit nothing at anything over 20ft.

The game throughs one suprise in at the beginning that anyone who plays games could have seen coming. I played about an hour as was bored to death and went back to punching turtles.

having played the demo I thought it was fairly good. The graphics looked pretty good on here and I don't have a brand new comp. Its possibly not the most inspired game of all time but the action is fairly good and I would say you can't always judge a game by its demo.

The suits cloak worked fairly well for me so I have no idea what you were doing wrong Razz

playing the game. Its gimmicky and unoriginal. Turtle punching saves what little there is. Like Half-life 2, claimed to be the best Fps ever at the time was slow repetative, only had 3 types of enemies (maybe one or two more), little to no plot and was a let down from half-life 1. Crysis is the same every major hyped game this year has been a let down for me. I hold my breath on assasins creed.

Call of duty 4......wow.

Modern day was a step in the right direction. My friend says he doesn't feel the scale like you did in the WW2 versions. I disagree, everything feels as it should for the setting.

Throughout the game (so far) you play as two people, 'soap' the new guy in the SAS and Jackson a Marine of undescribed background. Both have very diffrent level designs. As Soap you are a fast assault team working with 3 to 4 others to get to objectives vital to finding the big wigs and their weapons. levels often are large expanse for you to sneak along going from cover to cover before getting the advantage to open fire. Jackson is part of the main american force doing it the old fashioned american way. Surrounded by allies (and enemies) its an all out run a gun situation where you'll be lucky to make it to the other side.

Both work well and the suprise in the middle is done so well that its horrifying.

Guns sometimes feel completly inaccurate if you don't hold the aim button, but you get over it cos in that situation it is hectic and aiming would be hard while running sideway under heavy fire.

My friend finished it already playing on normal, i opted for hard and have evidently enjoyed the experience a whole lot more. I suggest any gamer that completed any previous call of duty does the same, you won't regret it, get angry and stroppy at an enemy yes, but regret no. Anyway when you finally get the guy it feels so much more satasfying, a real sense of achievement is felt.

No no I downloaded the demo last week, this is the full game. Only done one level so far and its good but my RSI is bad so I can't do too much :'(

Bought Smackdown vs Raw for PS3 and two Renegade Squadrons for the PSPs last week.

Assassin's creed for PS3 and Stranglehold for PC on the way (for CyNic's birthday)

Unreal Tournament 3 for PC and Kane and Lynch for PS3 (for our anniversary) pre-ordered

And here is us with a week off work coming up....

well for the record i recommend COD4, assasins creed and to a lesser extent mario galaxy (unfortunatly very very easy, 72 satrs out of 120 in one sitting)
