So, the book I've been waiting for, for a fair while now (well, since FCBD last year, with DC Universe #0 coming out, and the final Revelation of Let There Be Lightning), and since it happened in Final Crisis #2, when Barry Alan came back, is out now!
Obviously, this is very exciting. But, its not the most exciting thing of that issue, for me anyway.
Someone else is back.
When he got his speed taken away in #13 of Fastest Man Alive, back in 2007, thanks to the Legion of Superheros monkeying around in the Lightning Saga, he was burnt, electrifed, frozen, and then beaten to death by the Rouges, under Inertias orders.
Inertia was slowed to a Satue, by a newly returned Wally West for orchestrating the murder of his cousin, and placed as a statue in the Flash Museum. He was later freed by Professor Zoom, and taken under his wing.
The Rouges, after being hounded by every hero in the Universe for the murder, went after Inertia, who after betraying Zoom, and stealing all of his powers, and calling himself Kid Zoom, was subsequently murdered by the Rouges.
Annnnnnnnyway, during the Lightning Saga, the aformentioned Legion trapped someone in a Lightning rod, though the identity was unknown.
During the recent Final Crisis: Legion of 3 Worlds, in order to combat the Legion of Super Villans, being led by Superboy Prime in the 31st century, Braniac 5 has bought back the one person that Prime fears.
And made me a very happy puppy in the process.
Reaper
Hmmmm could that BE anymore convoluted?
Web of Fear
Thanks for clearing that up .....
Longshot
To find out if it could be any more convoluted you have to wait 4 months for the next overtalky issue of Legion of three worlds. [the last issue is due to ship the same weeka as the first issue was set].
I'm guessing you have a bias opinion, so the question 'should I be reading "The Flash: Rebirth"' is going to be waisted isn't it.
The Rascal King
It depends on how much you're interested in the character.
If it interests you that Barry Allen is back, then it can't hurt to pick it up.
Plus, if GL: Rebirth was anything to go by, this should be a great run.
