Not strictly Comic realted, but still, its a show based on a book.
I was looking for stuf to watch last night, and my friend suggested Sugar Rush.
Anyone heard of it? Its a show about some mid teenage girl, living in Brighton, and realiseing shes gay. Its actually pretty damm good.
After the first series, when she stops obsessing about her god awful pikey mate, (who just gets more and more pikey as the show goes on) and starts going out with this really fantastic looking Brighton punkish girl, its great.
So, rather good show, and entertaining becuase its in Brighton, and one of the main hang outs there is the Peir. Just funny becuase I recognise everything.

Yeah it's a hillarious show. Sugar is actually written much better in the second series, she has some absolute killer lines. Used to be able to watch that and Syncronicity (most under-rated show of 2006) back to back a while ago. That was great telly.

Sarah is a big fan of Sugar Rush, I caught a few eps of series one when she was watching them recently. Some interesting stuff going on and well written from what I've seen. Couldn't really comment on if it's a good depiction of Gay/Bisexual coming out type thing but it's nicely handled.

I just love that the main character is played by the same girl who used to star in all the Jaquelin Wilson kids shows. It's right up there with the kid from About A Boy being in Skins and Billy Elliot getting killed in Iraq Laughing

My girlfriend used to make me watch the second series, i personally thought it was appaling, it was on about the same time as the third series of shameless which i was also forced to watch, but i enjoyed shameless.

Half way threw the series my girlfriend turned round to me and said that she couldnt bare sugar rush any more as she didnt like it and only watched it to piss me off, thats now on the list with desperate housewives and most other E4 shows as things to piss me off.

Bloody hell though, its true, Sugar became such an evil cow in the second series, I couldn't belive it.
Gah, the one TV show I'm waiting for is Hustle.

I must admit, i have caught this show on about half a dozen occasions and its bloody hilarious Exclamation
