Released this week, Sub Mariner Comics 70th Anniversary is the latest in Marvel's celebration to their 70th anniversary.
This one has some real interest for me. An all-new story by the legendary Roy Thomas & Mitch Breitweiser, a never-before-seen story and, of course, a reprint of Namor's first-ever story from Marvel Comics No 1.
I would re-present the cover image here but, let's be honest, I'm at work and I would never get away with uploading images to Photobucket here.
I also note that the Captain America 70th Anniversary has been out. Is it any good...? And can I still get a copy...?

This issue reminded me of Thor #600; an average new story with some interesting classic material in the back pages. I was quite surprised by the quality of the first classic story available; it's easy to forget that there were actually good comic book writers in the 1940s.
