stardust

just been to see stardust and i gotta say that after all is said and done, other films (such as the princess bride, sleepy hollow and yes dare i say the brothers grimm) do a much better job of delivering the same kind of effect. ok its not a bad film, infact its a very good one, it has its flaws, some actors are miscast, ok some of the comedy feels like its out of a 60s carry on film and some of the same CGi can be seen more then once but which film doesnt have flaws but for me its real problem is it doesnt convay what makes the book so good, it carrys very little of the books magic and pays no dues really to the book or out of the type of book that gaiman got his infuence from. again dont get me wrong i thought it was a good film, just not what it said it was on the poster...

what do others think?
Batmanuel

I have heard rumor that a Take That song features in the film, and it has left me with some very strong reservations.
Besides, i thought Stardust sucked anyway, if i want a book i will buy a bloody book, if i want a comic i will buy a comic, stardust tried to be both, and i didn't like it.
Graphic Novel...? Graphic Turd, or as someone once said, a polished turd.

Rappletek

after watchign this movie based only on the need to see it as the trailer implied many hours of airship adventuring and sky pirates.. i was dismayed at the stunning craptacular spectcal that was this film...

now yes the story was lovely and blah blah blah something something CARE? SNORE

dont bother... i'm sure the book was great.. but really just read the edge chronicles.. it'll cost you the same or less as seeing this film... and give you ACTUAL entertainment and joy
