Spider-man 3 PreviewOk guys here we go.
I can conforim that the cinema in Canterbury will be having a preview of Spider-man 3 on May 3rd (Thursday) and Whatever comics is invited!
As long as we get more than 20 people, and we are already at 10, I expect the tickets to be no more than £5 - and I will be pushing for cheaper if I can.
Basicly the more people we can get to this the more effective our requests for films to be shown will be in the future. The cinema is one up at the moment as the insisted on getting 300, even though the bookings office said "But you have Norbit, why would you want 300?"
300 has gone on to be a smash hit for Canterbury, less said about Norbitt the better!
So bring your friends, your partners, your Mums whoever so we dont have to miss films like Ghost Rider (which I thought was a pretty good Ghost Rider film) and Transformers (which wont be on in Canterbury initally cos of the Simpsons movie and Harry Potter) again.
At this stage we will take reservations for tickets. These can be cancelled. HOWEVER tickets will be have no refunds and MUST be paid for in advance of the showing. I dont care if your Gran has been kidnapped or your cat has died! Once you have brought the tickets its up to you to get to the cinema!
On that note, anyone from Maidstone want to volunteer to drive a group over? You are welcolme to beat your passengers for petrol and parking etc!!

Good news for anybody who lives over Maidstone way though.
A mate of mine will be coming over (as long as his cars ok!!) and he has two free seats if anyone is interested....

And it all fall's apart....
Well the managment at the Odeon (or should that now be Odeous?) cinema no longer want our custom!
Thats right, aparantly the managment have decided that they do not want to have a preview and there is no need to offer discounted tickets because it's going to be a BLOCKBUSTER so they will sell them anyway.
They have kindly offered to allow us to have a block booking so we can all sit togther - at full price of course.
They seem unable to grasp the concept that this would have only been the 1st time we would have done this and several of the films we would have wanted to see, not all of them would have been blockbusters.
So thats that then. I am not in the habit of organising someonelses marketing for them so I am afraid that we will not be doing this now or at any time in the future, at least with the Canterbury cinema.
I apologise to everyone that had shown an interest and I am sorry to have wasted your time.
Only thing left for me to do now is organise a boycott of the Canterbury cinema - who's in?? 
THEY SHALL KNOW OUR WRATH!!!!!

Good news bad news time.
Good news.
I MIGHT be able to get us a private screening with discounted tickets at Canterbury.
Bad news
For that to happen it would have to be an early screening. The LATEST it would start is 8:30am. I am aiming to get it on the fisrt Saturday ie May 6th.
Would anybody be up for that or is it too early? Let me know.
And nothing is concrete at this stage.

I kinda need to know one way or the other and as a student type you are a good gage as to wether or not other student types would be prepared to discover the world of Saturday am!!

look guy, i am out of action, as much as i would love too, i cant, ask Cap O too sort it, i might make a brief appearance, but it will be brief, (The Pub) doctor has said i have had a very severe injury, which may result in surgery, so i'm not shitting you, there is no way i can sit for two hours for a film, never mind limping to the pub and back, (at this point can you hear the violins) no... then F**King pay attention

That sucks, but you did hear the part about the showing being at 8 in the morning? We'd be out at 10.30ish. Just a tad to early for the rest of the world to be drinking.

You do realise, up to this point, I thought you were talking about Reaper's reply about who I needed to sleep with! 
I'm not gonna patronise you with a 'hope you get better soon' (even though I do) - I'm sure you've heard that so many times now, you just wanna ram your fist down that person's throat; I just wanna say that the shop isn't the same without you at the moment and that I'm looking forward to the day when I can take a returning-to-fitness Batmanuel to the pub for a drink or ten. Sure, we can do that now, albeit only very briefly, but I wanna drink to your good health, not just to you getting better!
