if you have read the heros thread, then you will know iam a huge smallville fan . i got to say it gets better and better each season. i feel that they should of made a smallville movie rather then superman returns.

Tbh the first episode of Series 7 has left me a little annoyed. Partially at myself and partially at the series. I'm annoyed with myself because I knew that they wouldn't be able to follow up what they were promising but I still allowed myself to think maybe they would manage it this time. And I'm annoyed at the series for not meeting their promise. How difficult can it be to do a decent superhero vs villain fight?! Smallville seems to be exceptionally inept at doing them, Zod vs Clark was underwhelming and so was this one. I know the writing team + production team can do good fights because they did a lot of work on Spider-Man 2. So WHY can't they do it on Smallville.
And after that let down the episode again falls into whiney Clark mode and I really don't remember Clark being this whiney in anything else? Its.. just... Come on!
Also why do American tv shows this year seem to have a thing for showing what could be their most interesting twist in the end of the first episode?! First Heroes and now Smallville?
