rob zombies halloweenwent to see this today, and i got to say this film is awesome, the writeing is very, very good. the acting, from all the cast was fantastic,malcolm mcdowell, brad dourif and daeg faerch get top props from me, it had everything a film should have in a larger context to, i know he has only made 3 movies (and i know this is a remake) but Rob zombie is shapeing up to be one of my fave dir, all in all nice slice of grindhouse fun.go see this movie its worth it.

I watched half the original and got bored, but I do think that Rob Zombie does seem to be doing quite a lot right at the moment. He does seem to know his way around a horror movie.
Watching some of his old music Videos they were actually quite good, even if I didnt like his music that much.

yeah those old music videos of his are great, have a real grindhouse vibe to them. others may wish to know he has put pen to paper and writtion 2 books which both have the same kind of vibe as his other work.

Zombie is a huge old school horror fan and knows the way to scare someone isn't with dire plot and a couple of jump moments. The original Halloween is a classic and should be watched by all, i can't wait to see you Rob has done.

I've heard from a lot of people that he has absolutely murdered it, which doesn't surprise me..... remakes should be left alone

more times then not, i would agree with reaper that indeed remakes should be left alone but i do suggest people go see this cos its a good remake. it makes a point of saying not all remakes have to be poor cash in jobs.

On the subject of dodgy remakes. It looks like they're planning on remaking Childs Play. The original producer and writer are on board and planning on making it a more terrifying experience...... Rearrange these words Dead beating horse zombification into

haveing seen the first childs play not so long ago, i got to say the the remake has got a hell of a way to go if it wants to be a horror movie, cos childs play is kind of like a family film buy todays standards.
