Reviews because a nice man at the comic shop asked!Hey guys i'm back and reviewing. For those who don't remember or god forbid never read my reviews 5/10 is for an aveage comic not 7/10 like most reviewers, so don't be offended by low scores......although i am the only person ever to give 1/10 on this site......i digress it is one in the morning.
X-FACTOR QUICK AND DEAD ONE SHOT
Quite possibly the most important one shot marvel have made in ages. This comic focuses on the long forgotten about Peitro Maximoff, better known as Quicksilver. After losing his powers on M-day peitro stole the terrigen crystals from the inhumans and gained new time travel abilities along with the power to restore mutant powers (however short lived and often fatally). This later removed from him left him a mess.
The comic focuses on Peitro and his sense of guilt, but also his true nature as a good person honestly trying to help everyone. Visited in his mind by those who are directly tied to his fate, Peitro learns of a secret he has kept from himself which ends in a moment that had me smiling from ear to ear.
Truly i never cared for Quicksilver as a character before. The ultimates changed that making him cool (god bless the ultimates), after that i took a liking to him. I think the older fans are going to appericate this more than new comers who really don't know to much of the maximoff siblings.
The arts is actually very nice with some really nice panels, however some continuity errors do exist but never detract from the story as theyare very very minor. The writting is fantastic, it does the one thing I really like in good comics, makes everyone seem believable in an unreal world.
Definately pick this up if you enjoyed house of M as i feel this is a resolving peice for a centre character. If you didn't you probably aren't a mutant fan and should stay away. If none of the above give it a shot, you could do far worse.
8/10
Mighty Avenegers #13
Ok I'm a Nick Fury fan so this one was always going to go down well with me. It seems that old one eye has stolen this comic from those no good registered heroes and is showing us how he is going to save the world. This does however make me wonder if the skrulls have a continuing story in new avengers and the 2 super groups will only appear in the main story proper? Time will tell.
There is not alot I can actually say about this one without ruining the story for everyone. Its a whole issue based upon one plan that Nick has to make sure he can fight with no skrulls in his team, unfortunatly i have seen a mistake made in the story strait away, see if you do too. Genuinly an interesting read that will keep people coming back even if next to nothing happened in this issue, what did happen was enough.
The art is not to my taste and constantly seeing nick fury disguised as nick fury from the ultimates is wearing thin, it wasn't funny the first time. Bendis is writting so you know the content is going to be of high quality. If your reading secret invasion you have to be picking up both avengers comics too get the whole stroy anyway. If you have never bought a mighty or new avengers comic, get off your arse and get down to whatever comics and buy some trade paper back and back issues. These are the best marvel comics made for years, whatever comics voted New avengers best ongoing series of 2007. We're right, we always are
6/10
Avenger Invaders #1
A weird one that seems to be part of the 616 continualty but no comformation has reach my ears.
For those who don't know what this is about, The Invaders are the team of super heroes who fought in world war two with captain america. Something happens and they end up in the modern day marvel universe and everyone seems very confused.
The comics starts off very well with bucky's diary and the events leading up to the event that gets the Invaders into the mondern day. Soon switching to a plot i have been waiting for; Spider-man being hunted by The Thunderbolts.
Obviously this is the build up to the main story so not much is revealed but the content shown within plants enough seeds to make this comic well worth picking up, something i never thought i would say. The main point of intrest is the return of steve rodgers in the modern day. However will the Captain America of world war 2 with no knowledge of the world now be against the SHRA?
The art is great, the dialogue is a bit iffy however. Spider-man is done very well at first but then seems to become a stater of obvious facts that are only used to further the story and doesn't seem very in character.
As i said this is one worth picking up and deciding for yourself if you should continue to do so. I will say i can see many links to recent story lines espically civil war and anyone who enjoyed that should be intrested (and who didn't enjoy it?).
7/10 and potentially higher in future.
Right thats it im done, i feel my english started to dip in that last review, but being so late at night i have an excuse......hopefully.

Reviews because a nice man in the comic shop asked...?
Who's that then...?
Otherwise, liked the review on Avengers/Invaders - partly because I can't wait to read it myself. Skipped your Mighty Avengers one though as I've not read anything of Secret Invasion yet.

Yep thats happened to me in the past when i have spent time typing, the bugger timed out, but seven reviews, thats harsh.
i seem to have got into the habit of copying these days, so if shit happens i can just paste it back in
but that Thunderbolts was awsome wasn't it, but to be honest i would have only given it a 9.8 / 10

Can't say I'm sold on Mighty Avengers at all. I like the idea of it, but 22 pages of:
"Do you know who your grandfather was?"
"No."
"Come with me."
is not a good way to do a 'forming the team' comic.

Thunderbolts was one of the funniest things I've ever read. Norman Osborne the Hero again! Fantastic.
Xeall, type all your reviews in notepad or word and then paste them to the web page. Crap I haven't written my reviews yet.

Thunderbolts really is, in my opinion, the full 10/10. Not to spoil it a little if people haven't read it, but naked speeches from the goblin himself? Priceless. Also loving, as is in the Thunderbolts nature (being baddies as opposed to most other comics with goodies), the sly little satirical remarks on the state of the rest of the Marvel Universe: Security guard - "My kid's gonna be pissed. I told him he could dress up as Iron Man and send his little buddies to the concentration camp I built him in the backyard." Even as a Starkist, I must admit, it's the little bits like that that make me chuckle.

Has to be said, i wasn't totally sold on this, it was a good comic, and its a great idea to bring in a totally unknown, unregistered group to combat the skrulls.
but why did it remind me so much of Wanted?
