Hey guys we have a member of Torchwood onboard
But seriously I miss X-Files, I miss looking forward to seeing it once a week, I miss lusting after Scully, and I miss wondering what was going to happen next.
So for me it’s a resounding thumb up for Lost, a very different show to X-Files but as good in very different ways, oh and lets not forget Torchwood.
You know its just nice to have something I actually want to watch on the tele rather that just watching crap for the sake of crap because there’s nothing but crap on, am I making sense here?

So... who's been watching the new series on Sky One...?
Any thoughts...?
I have to admit I really enjoyed the last episode with Sawyer. Of all the characters, I find his story the most interesting and it was pretty cool to see him pretend to not be interested in his child and then donate all that money for a bank account for her...
That and I just loved Ben's manipulation of him too with the whole heart thing...
Oh... and does anyone miss Kate in that dress Ben gave her...? She was so frickin' smoulderin' hot in that dress! Imagine her wearing nothing under that little flowery, girly dress. Now imagine Kate bouncing on (post edited for sexual content) and (post edited for sexual content) swallow before I'd (post edited for sexual content).
Yep! Kate and that flowery, girly dress has given me many a pleasant dream. Now excuse me if you will; I, er, have some stress I need to relieve myself of...
Please feel free to discuss Lost while I'm away!

How do the Lost novels fit into the show's continuity or are they considered as non-canon?
I've always wondered considering the tight continuity that the show offers. While the first season covered the first 28 days, the second seemed to tell the story of each next day in sequential order (ie. 24) and it would appear that the third season is following that format. So where do the novels fit it?

They are set in the first season and feature bits of the show in but each story is about a different survivor and how they came to be on the plane and none of the three books link in anyway

Sounds like the author's taking the easy way out... although if I were writing a Lost novel, I probably wouldn't be looking at inserting my story too neatly into the TV series either.
At least this way, they can tell a story that they've maybe wanted to write for some time and then fit it into the Lost story by just adding a few bits and pieces here and there, I guess.

Episode 17 of season 3 was watched today by and it wasn't bad, had one of the best scenes in the entire show. Evangeline Lily in her thong and bra, she has a really nice arse.

Has to be said (And I'm fairly surprised by this) that Lost is actually recapturing my interest. The last couple of episodes have been pretty damned good, it seems we're soon about to find out what the island is all about, I've got a couple of ideas. And its a very very interesting turn they've taken.... If you have stopped watching it, get back into it now, the end of season 3 is looking to be good.

I compleatly agree. I think it shows that they feel that their toes are getting somewhat trodden on by Heroes. What with all the comparisons being made, and people saying how Heroes differes by not messing around with the viewer enterily, and not making a compleate mockery of story-telling, I think they're feeling somewhat outdone, and are being forced to come up with answers for whats been going on.
Still, its just not going to live up to its own hype, I don't think. Theres just too much for them to cover now, they'll never get it all out of the way in the next 4.

lost finaleThats it season 3 over and what a strange ending
Any ideas where next season will go and which character will go next

I saw this last week and haven't had chance to mention it.
I thought it was a pretty good ending and as Torchie says, odd really odd. Sorry I didn't reply to you last week Rascal when you asked about this but I was head deep in revision.
Pretty damned cool I thought, something obviously is going to happen in the next season that is going to be really bad!

I think the new episode was also out on Sky One this weekend, right?
Anyone see it? Or download it?
Thoughts?
I reconed it was real good.

I thought the latest episode on sky was wholly un-entertaining and a crock of... hope it gets better.

I was quite impressed, by going forward with the character flashes they've managed to deepen the mystery without making it anymore infuriating than they already have. It's managed to spark my interest again which surprised me, now Prison Break needs to follow suit or I won't bother watching it.

I really enjoyed new Lost, only just finished S3 a week before.
I don't like the flash forwards, think its a bit tacky and does nothing for the show. And noone there is dead [so far Charlie and Jacks dad both appear to live on].
But the actual episode, while nothing actually happened as such, was really good, a choosing sides that might actually mean something. Some interesting choices [Rose and Bernard being one] and Sawyer being the new 'post series 2' Sawyer even more now.
In short, I am back on board and happy to be there.

After watching Episode 3 I'm still into series 4, it's keeping up the intrigue, especially with Sayid's flash forward. Quite glad I managed to guess who is pulling his strings.
