iTunes HelpCan anyone help?
When I run iTunes and try to access the store, it sometimes takes ages to load, or doesn't load at all. When it feels the urge to do this, it doesn't find CD track names either.
I'm using the latest version of iTunes on a PC.

First piece of advice is to uninstall the program and never ever ever touch that flacid pile of crap again.
Second piece of advice only applies if you have an iPod.... burn it and then slap yourself for having no taste.
On a more serious note, its quite possibly a Firewall issue that is holding it up, you need to make sure that iTunes has unrestricted access to the net.

Erm, thanks....
I'm not sure it is a firewall issue. Sometimes, it loads up no problem, other times it doesn't.

It could be because all the ports that iTunes is using aren't completely free, are you running Vista or XP?

I've check and iTunes isn't blocked by the firewall. I've also looked at the Apple forum and I'm not the only person blighted by this problem to which there doesn't seem to be much of an answer.

About 99% of my music is on CD. Having an MP3 player is handy for the number tracks you can store, and personal CD players are rather cumbersome IMO.

besides reapers remarks uninstalling does actually sound like good advice. Could be a corrupt program. try re installing it and if that don't work i'll get my team of experts on it. No seriously

I had wondered about uninstalling it. It worked late last night and this morning, though apparently not now.
If I uninstall it, am I going to lose all this music I have on iTunes?

I would assume it saves all the files you download into a folder somewhere on your hard drive. If you're worried it might remove them, just move them yourself to a different folder away from iSatan
