It looks great. Del Toro is possibly my favourite director (hard choice with the top 3!)
I can't wait. Hellboy is one of my favourite comics and I think the first film was a really good adaptation. The animated films are worth seeing, too - particularly the 2nd one.
Here is a link to a site that has the Hellboy 2 Trailer and other little snippets / interviews as well.
Going to be a big summer for comics movies.

"Cha" is like the 90's californian surfer (think Bill & Ted) way of saying Yeah. I suppose it doesn't really translate that well to text.
Don't worry, I was just saying, and yeah, the more links, the merryer! More Hellboy (and by extention and association, Liz <3) can't be a bad thing.

Does look pretty good, its a bit of a common thread with Superhero films in the last 10 years, that the first one isn't always amazing but because it sets up everything, the sequels can be really good a la X-Men 2.

I liked the first one but it wasn't fantastic, the ending didn't do much for me

Well - I've seen it now and I have to say I was disappointed.
Hellboy is one of my favourite comics and Del Toro is one of my favourite directors. I really liked the first one and I love the animated films.
However...while it looked fantastic and the creature design was great - I thought the style of comedy was too slapstick, it lost a lot of the darkness because the concerns of the plot were so mundane, and what happened to Johan was awful!
It had a touch of the "Ghostbusters 2, better make it a bit more kid-friendly" to it, I thought.
Still looking forward to him doing The Hobbit. though.

I would agree with you on all those points. Walked out of the cinema feeling very disappointed. All the characters became parodies of themselves which ruined a lot of it for me. And Mr AirBag switching sides effectively was completely out of character when compared to the rest of his screen time.

Only just saw it, and have to say it was very very pretty. Except for young Hellboy, that just looked wrong on too many levels. His face didn't even move when he talked! Gotta agree with you Reaper, Gasbag switching sides was totally unpredictable, and didn't really feel right. I thought first half was pretty crappy, second half wasn't too shabby, but that may just have been because it was very very pretty. It had to be pretty, I suppose, with a name like 'The Golden Army.' Clue's in the title. Third half was awesome. Wait, what?
