I used to like The Guardians of the Galaxy back in the day, i have all the very early appearances, it was ahead of its time, the 90's seres although never quite setting the comic world afire was well liked amongst a core following and sales were consistent month in and month out, when it was cancelled it wasn't due to poor sales, it was due to marvel trimming their lines in order to launch a couple of new titles, (none of which sold as well as Guardians of the Galaxy,) and also to pave the way for chapter 11
such a shame as the book had a real potential to be revamped into something special, thus keeping the old readers and at the same time bringing in some new ones,
The new title wont be anything like the old one for many reasons, but i do think if the same thing that has been done to Nova can be done here, then we just may have a solid title which will like the old title sell to a solid and appreciating audience, i sure as hell am going to give it a whirl, and at last i may just have a cosmic book that i actually want to read without having to read a load of dross in order to get to a good one.
i am quite looking forward to it.

Rocket Racoon is fantastic! Just finish the first Annihilation conquest book and I would heartily recommend it.
