GTAIV now released in spring 2008!How angry does this make people??Two rumors: 1. Rockstar can't get it to fit on a dvd for 360, so microsoft delayed it. 2. Rockstar originaly programed it on 360 coding and the ps3 port was sloppy and crap, so sony delayed it. Bit of both me thinks |

I approve, this means that there is more chance of me having a games console to play it on when it comes out. I think the only games I will be buying for the PS3 would be GTA, RE, MGS. So the later they come out the cheaper the consoles at the time, the more comics I can still reasonably buy. | ||

talking to a friend who works for rockstar this morning. It pretty much that the ps3 is stupid to program for and looked terrible and the loading times was even putting sonic on 360 to shame | ||

Evidence that the PS3 is a £400 bucket of crap...again? Surly not!  
I'm not fussed to be honest. With Mass Effect, Bioshock, Halo 3 and whatever else i've forgotten on the way, there's plenty to tie me over til next year. |

Sorry buddy but BS, i spoke to my friend in rockstar and he said it's a bit of both, same answer from the rockstar rep, so i don't know where your getting that from. The rest of you will be eatting your words about ps3 in one years time i promise you. however i can't bloody wait for bioshock on 360 |

Yeah, it's all part of Sony's grand scheme to make sure everyone interested in consol gaming has already bought a Wii or 360 before they start publishing titles that remotly justify their insane price tags. Once that's completed magical elves will appear from thin air and convince everybody to trade in their vast libraries of reasonably priced, high quality titles for Sony products. Following this, a chorus of Angels will lift all PS3 players to a higher plane of existance while Jesus Christ rides in on a motorcycle and hurls Nintendo and Microsoft into a lake of fire thus ensuring that the everybody will be forced to buy the newly born PS4 (which will be a hundred feet tall, cost the same as a sports car and only play Metal Gear games). Any who resist will be fed as scraps to rabbid SOE executives and then forced to play Star Wars Galaxies for all eternity. Seriously, it's all in their business plan. |

Maybe i'll get a nintendo wii and wait for nothing to come out on it...oh wait i did that. Instead i'll buy a 360 and have it break on me 5 times? wait i've done that too. Yeah maybe i'll have to wait for exclusives but no longer than the wii and i have games on both ps3 and 360 to play, but probably ps3 as my xbox might explode again, and again and again....
I await the 17/8/08 with a smile on my face knowing i'm right, its my job to be right about this. As for kingmouses post....really? bad ass

Sony just pissed me off with their attitude with the launch of the PS3 so not a chance of me buying one of those, plus they're stupidly expensive.
And realistically if I want to play games I use a PC, because its better than a console

beyond the point yes i did buy one on release date, however everyone i have had so far has a max of a 6 month life span. If microsoft hadn't extended all warrantee's till nov 2008 (costing them 2 billion) i'd be screwed.
Oh and that 360 oh wait only 250 games back compatible...whats that skippy, 1000 on ps3, download the patch the same way on both machines? oh yeah! I bought a jap machine so i could play jap ps1 and ps2 games, as the ps3 games are region free....oh wait thats awesome does that mean i can get games that never come out over here? or have drakes fortune 2 months before it out over here??? construct better arguements and i'll listen. i'll say again i own all 3 machines, i just feel there is a lot of unprecidented hate toward avery good machine, that has more potential that 360 (we'll have to see with the wii). Oh and if you complain about the price look at my post on ode to ps3. And if your a naruto fan get in the shop today i have the new naruto shippudden game on display....on my ps3 |

Friends of mine have had 360s from first gen and they're still working fine. Dodgy working consoles isn't limited to Microsoft, the PS2 first gens were a bunch of crap, scratched discs, blew up (much like your 360) and I'm pretty sure there have been cases of PS3s being cack but I don't quote me on that.
The general trick is don't buy anything in its first generation because; a) They'll charge you far too much for it, 360, Ps3, Blu Ray etc b) There are always teething problems c) If the format changes slightly in a years time, your player is a paper-weight - This mainly applies to dvd players, after the first couple of generations of dvds players came out, they started using dual layer discs to get the film and features on one side. First gen players couldn't run them so people have to buy a new player... oooops. |

Ah that is why my friend i got a jap console. so much more reliability.
yes ps3 has had some faulty machines but well within the expected amount in any new electronic equipment(statistics are on the net somewhere). 360 in its first year had 60% of their consoles returned faulty (microsoft claim 25%, but watchdog bloody looked into it...watchdog!!!), over bloody half!!! Then the elite came out in america (not a first gen machine by this point) and 50% didn't work out of the box!!! yes the 360 is cheaper but 280 quid (330 for elite) for a faulty machine is alot. |

To be fair, PS3 has some amazing titles for it...it's just that they're all PS2 games.

In a way that speaks for itself. My final point is non sequel games. All microsofts big hitters are sequels, Halo 3, Fable 2 etc. Gears of war was a great game but GoW 2 is said to be on ps3 aswell so not really a point.
The games i look forward to are, the next game from the ico team (currently called ico2 but so was shadow of the collosus), little big planet and drakes fortune (the new game from naughty dog). Its these sort of games that make a console. Yes metal gear 4 and Halo 3 are gonna be huge and believe me when i say i would commit many crimes to get hold of FF13, but i look forward to the new and this is why the Wii is currently peaking the intrest of the world. |
