a really really big thank you goes to Danial who came as Batman,
Our very own Rascal King (Greg) who came as Wolverine
and Conrad (Conradical) who was Spider-Man for the day.
without who the day wouldn't have been the day it was, it felt like a carnival and the atmosphere was really party like, i hope that all and anyone who came enjoyed it and i hope you all liked the free comics.
and without further ado here's some pics of the day...
And there you have it, a brilliant day had by all and probably the busiest day ever for Whatever Comics, if i could go back and change one thing it would be to have ordered more free comics as we sort of run out half way through the day and it was a search the store room for stuff, fortunately being in business as long as we have we had a few bits and bobs to fall back on, X-Men and X-Force number ones anyone
Web of Fear
Great pictures. Looks like a good time was had by all!
Robin The Boy Wonder
Yeah, I'm really glad I popped in on Saturday.
Eliot's loving his Bongo Comics freebie; or, in Eliot's terms, the Homer Simpson comic. He's not old enough to read it but loves flicking through it and looking at the pictures nevertheless. Naturally, Dad's had to read it just in case... er... there was anything... violent... yeah, that's it... violence... in a Simpsons comic... and then I read it again just in case I missed any Alan Moore style moments.
It's just a shame Eliot collapsed into tears before we could set up the photo with Spider-Man. He loves Spidey and calls him Spider Spud Man, or bider-bud-man cuz he can't quite do his 's' yet (he has a Spidey Mr Potato Head and loves the enormous Spider-Man print adorning the marital bedroom wall - yes, that's right, Ann let me put up a massive print of the cover to ASM 40 with Spidey standing over The Green Goblin; I'm even allowed another one!). Ah well, it just means we'll have to try again next year.
All in all, Manny; twas an excellent offering at Whatever Comics. I think you and Debe (and everyone else who pitched in) should be very, very proud indeed.

Shame we couldn't be there - it looks like it was a great day.

Real Shame I couldn't make it there. I went to my local shop [Time Trek in Bromley] and they didn't have one free comic, but then they aren't half as good as you guys are.
