Films of 2007What's everyone most psyched about regarding this year's movie releases?
I've gotta go with Transformers. It's either to rule, or go down in flames. No middle ground.

Transformers & Spider-Man 3 have my full, undivided attention.
Agree with you on Transformers. It can only go one of two ways and I fear it's gonna be poor. The trailers look good - but we'll see...
As for Spider-Man 3... it's gonna be great!

Agreeing with you there, I fear for Transfomers.
Spidey 3 looks arse kicking.
And Hot Fuzz!

I'd forgotten all about Hot Fuzz! Thanx for reminding me!
Other than that... is there anything else...? Cuz nothing else is coming to mind right now.

I'm a Potter geek, so I'm looking forward to Order of the Phoenix.
Live Free or Die Hard might be worth a punt as well. Always up for a bit of overblown action!
Oh yeah, and there's Sin City 2, and Day Watch (the follow-up to Night Watch).
Right now though, I'm getting very excited about Rocky Balboa.

Web of Fear

Hot Fuzz
Spider-Man 3
Sunshine (new Danny Boyle sci fi)
Bourne Ultimatum
The Illusionist (if it ever gets a UK release)

Batmanuel

GHOST RIDER.

The Rascal King

Ahh yes. Isn't Iorn Man meant to be coming out as well? And what about DC's yearly offering?

Iron Man is a 2008 release, as is Sin City 2 - although don'tbe surprised if that gets pushed back to 2009.
I'd forgotten about Live Free or Die Hard. I'm a fan of the first three movies so this should be worth a punt. Same goes for Ghost Rider but I fear it may well flop; while Mark Steven Johnson has had plenty of time in post-production to get things right, I'm not entirely convinced. Anyone can put together a cool trailer. It's the film that counts.
And I can't believe I forgot about The Simpsons.
Interesting to note that there's no love for Pirates of the Caribbean 3...

My plan for Transformers is to go in with low expectations and enjoy watching amazing cgi robots breaking stuff. That way if the story's any hack then it's a bonus.
Spiderman 3 is probably the highlight but it's a close second being pirates; I don't care how uncool it's become. Forget intelegent discussion of the film's plot, the second the titles appear I'm a seven year old on a sugar high for the next 2 hours.

Just read about it on Wiki and IMDB, and crap. Its about Yanks.
Goddamage, just when theres a decent Brit movie, they go and knob it up by stuffing yanks in there! Whats next, a sequel to Dog Soldiers in Iraq? Trainspotting in the States?
And American Hellblazer?

Don't even think about it.
ONLY if it was with British troops. Thats what made it so good.
Christ, I loved that movie.
Best thing was, that I used to be in the Cadets, so I'd been on 24 hour exercises, where no one wants to be there, so it was really fammiliar.

I could see that working... a couple years from now, Hollywood will be on the lookout for potential films on the current Iraq conflict and this would be a nice refresher from the typical American Hollywood film that would simply glorify the thing.
And... I love your avatar!

There has actually been something along those lines. It was some channel 5 monster movie where troops in Iraq have to fight a deranged bat monster. I caught it in the early hours a while back but was pretty drunk so I can't remember any more than that.
I do remember that it was almost as good as the one I saw over christmas where a platoon of World War 2 troops have to fight a Nazi version of The Hulk.
