d & d tacticsplayed d & d tactics last night for the psp and i got to say, the turn based system is so boring, just boring, with that said the game does have huge plus points, such as pc creation...bottem line is that dont be fooled into thinking that this is a rpg, its chess with the d20 rules. there are better rpgs out there but if you want battle chess its fine.

gah, tis a pity since it looked pretty cool but i managed to put it out of my mind by not owning a psp. what makes it even worse is seeing this post made me excited when i realised i could get it now i have a psp but not want to due to the lack of rpg goodness. and punctuation in that last sentence.

Dude, please.
I know we're all comic book geeks here, and a couple of us are video game geeks as well, but could you please treat us with some level of dignity?

oh dear the rascal king,
did anyone ever tell you its rude to try and censor people if people want to talk about tabletop rpgs in relation to a videogame Rpg, (which afterall the videogame is based on not just the tabletop game name but indeed trys to use the same system as the tabletop game) then let them, i didnt know we where under the leadership of the rascal king on this forum. anyway reaper to go back to your question i have been playing D&D in many of its editions for years, any one else out there play table top D&D? if its ok with the rascal king that is.

I've played it a bit, though I've played much more of Vampire with a friend of mine who has been playing for many many years.

I wasn't sensoring you, I was just stating that... well, D&D? Seriously? Thats like, almost as bad as Warhammer.
And of course we're under my leadership here, did the name not give it away? Hail to the King, dude.

just ignore him.
i'm intrigued, what's the battle system like? you say chess, but is it similar to every other tactics game? i'm playing enchanted arms at the minute, which is on a grid, but i wouldn't say it was like chess...
you gotta tell me, have you played final fantasy tactics to give me a comparison? i need a good rpg... (admittedly, final fantasy on ds, tactics on psp and enchanted arms on ps3 at the minute, but hey, there's always room for more...)

out of the two FF tactics is the far better game, it has a plot (unlike D & D tactics) the FMVS are awesome fore a hand held with FF and the combat system rocks, (where are they are not in D & D tactics) thats not to say that D & D tactics is not a bad game, its just not all that it could be or wanted to be. out of the to just stick with FF. maybe D & D is worth playing if your really into tactics/rpgs
