Cloverfield

An interesting looking one this...

Directed by JJ Abrams, Cloverfield is due for release 1st February 2008. It's hard to say what the film is about as details are being kept very much under-wraps although it would appear to follow a monster attack on New York City...

Apparently i heard it on the news tonight that it is coming under fire from religious nuts, don't know why, and i wonder if some of it will be cut before we get to see it to appease these lunatics, i fuc*ing hate religous fanatics more than i hate Tony Stark Laughing
Reaper

Every film seems to be coming under fire from religious nuts at the moment. I'm sure its all Hollywood planning seeing as it boosted Da Vinci Codes revenue at the box office.

Wasn't there a film years ago called the Ten Commandments?

Longer review, please?

Read very contrasting views of it.
Web of Fear

I saw this last night and thought it was good, not great.  I think that it captures the panic well, though some footage is rather reminiscent of 9/11 footage.  Contains a few plot improbabilities that I wasn't able to suspend my disbelief for, and I didn't think it was particularly tense or scary.

Worth seeing though.

Godzilla + The Blair Witch Project = Cloverfield

A damn good idea, but nowhere near as good or intense as people would have you believe. Don't believe the hype. Worth a watch for sure - but just the one.
kingmouse

Yeah. The post 9/11 images are a little to blatent in parts but it is a monster movie so I'm kinda cool with that. The only thing that bugged me was the horribly hammy ending. It was like the movie ended, but then they realised they were running 10 mins short and so bolted on a bit of script from the OC.

Definatly worth a watch though.
Reaper

How do you mean from the OC?
