Bristol Comic Expo in MayIs anyone planning on going to the big (well, for the UK!) convention in Bristol in May?
I know it seems early days but these things book up
The website for the event is really rubbish - but don't let that put you off. We have always had a really good time there.
A word of advice if you are going and staying overnight. The Holiday Inn Express is right in the middle of both venues (across the road from the dealers mart, and just 5 minutes from the Ramada) and is much cheaper. It's nice enough as well. Also it is worth booking advance train tickets - you are stuck with a particular train but it means it costs you about £17 return if I remember, rather than about £50.
Hopefully Layer 0 volume 2 (with art by me and a story by Cy) will be out for sale there as well - yay! Cy will be on the Markosia stand for some of the time as well probably if you want to come by and say Hi.
Maybe see some of you there?

Would love to.
However would need to sell wife and kids first.
Any takers?

Well if the shop had a stall in the dealers hall you could put them on there
But why not bring them too? A fun day out for all the family.

Correction.
A fun day out for all the family..... except me!!!
The logistics (not to mention cost) involved of getting three kids and a wife to Bristol to see a comic convention that they are not that interested in seeing (even though we all know they would really enjoy themselves when they got there) are the kind of thing that keeps me awake at night sobbing to myself!!!

Surely a case for the Whatever Comics Magical Mystery Tour.
You could all go together in a bus with your favourite characters painted on the side and sing all the way to Bristol.
"Hey kids...we could have the musical RIGHT HERE!!"
...and that is why we have not spawned any money-sucking mini-mes. They would touch our comics and our precious toys with their nasty sticky fingers and cause us to be selfless and broke.
Also I've watched Alien. I know what happens.

A note for anyone thinking of going to the Bristol Con - the Ramada (the convention hotel) is already booked up (mostly due to there being another convention in the building on the same weekend).
We have just booked our room in the Holiday Inn down the road and already the cheapest rooms (usually around £60 - 65) seem to be gone - best price now is £79 per night for a double with breakfast (which is still not bad, it has to be said).

Here - take this magic time turner...
But I will try and bring you back a treasure, like we planned...you just need to keep the time lines and dimensions in alignment for me to get a chance to nip in and out before the worlds collide...

HA.. for now i have the Magic Tuner and a treasure shall be mine, for i will sleep and dream, and that dream shall be real, and if the gods allow he shall be immortal, a Demi God no more. and if the same sort of buzz is in the air next year.... well who knows.
By Jove? i see a battle hardened figure who has appeared to attempt to take said magic object away from me, ... by force.
on your bike sunshine, if you want it, fight me for it, YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!!!
Hang on, wrong scenario.
Disclaimer:
in no way are the posters on this forum suggesting that an Immortal God exists.
or for those of an opposite nature, doesn't exist.
for the Jehovah's wittiness's, i really dont care what you have to say.
and for the American bible belt, the only thing that comes close to you lot are the fucking Jehovah's witnesses, either way your all a bunch of Austrians.
sorry guys if this makes no sense, thank whoever for the spell check otherwise it would make even less sense.
