Just out of interest, any of you guys heard of Rifftrax?

A few years back, the Sci Fi channel ran a show called Mystery Science Theatre 3000 (or MST3K), the idea of which was to show cheesy movies with a cast of one guy and two robots superimposed at the bottom of the screen making fun all the way through. I got addicted to this show, and was heartbroken when it got cancelled.

Anyway, some of the people involved in MST3K have been releasing downloadable commentary tracks (Rifftrax) for a year or so, and they've done several superhero movies (Daredevil, Spider-Man, X-Men, both FF flicks).

Personally, I love this stuff, but a surprising number of people started complaining when their favourite movies were being riffed on. For some reason, this was particularly apparent with the superhero flicks they tackled.

Anyone else into this, or am I alone here?

Yep absolutely.

Would just add that the non comics related ones are really good as well - Roadhouse in particular being a classic.

They've done Starwars 1 -3 and Fellowship of the Ring as well (not sure how I feel about that one Laughing

) so they are brave in what they choose to laugh at.

How it works is that you download an audio track that you play alongside (or reauthor onto a dvd if you like) the film like a directors commentary on it. You have to own the film yourself as they don't provide video.

T about $2.99 each they are well worth checking out. Best watched in a group for maximum effect.

If anyone wants any recommendations of good ones to start with (obviously how funny they are depends on what they have to work with in the film) let us know.
