Everyone - go out and get this film now!!
Even if you have seen it before - go and get it again.
We watched it the other night and it is - well it is pretty indescribable actually - let's just say amazing and leave it at that.
So, to try and do this without spoilers:
Imagine if Elmer Fudd and Bugs Bunny were real people living in a world created by John Woo and Garth Ennis.
Imagine every way you ever thought you could stage a cool gunfight, and every place you thought it could happen. In fact I think every scene actually contains gun-play of some kind or other.
Imagine how many ways you think you could kill man with a carrot.
Add a "hooker with a heart" and a brilliant villain cursed with self-awareness "Do we suck that badly or this guy really that good?" and you have a recipe for greatness.
Will it cause you to consider the human condition? No
Is there a plot of any kind? Well no, not really, but it JUST DOESN'T MATTER - although it has some nice little subversive touches
Will it cause you to jump up and down and whoop at the screen in delight. Oh, most certainly yes. I have not seen such extravagant violence in a while. Nice direction, too.
If you've seen Crank and liked it you will love this - if you haven't, go get that as well! _________________

Well I finally found time to watch this absolutely insane film
Man waits for a bus.
Pregnant girl runs past about to drop the package.
man crashes around the corner in his car, hurls abuse at the girl, follows her, and asks the man waiting for the bus, "what the fuck you looking at"
pulls gun while turning the corner.
man waiting for the bus discards his coffee and with his half eaten carrot rises from the seated position, and say oh fucking hell, follows man, who is following woman...
And we are off.
from that point on the film enters into a complete and utter high octane shoot out which rarely pauses for breath.
Imagine the most talkative Woman in the world, then inject a huge amount of crystal meth and watch her spit out fifty thousand word per second.
thats what the film is like, only with bullets instead of words, oh and its incredibly entertaining where the talking woman is not.
I wonder just how many shots were acually fired? dont know but one thing for sure is a bloody lot.
Oh and pregnant woman gives birth to baby in the middle of a huge gun battle, which for an old comic book geek like me added new dimensions to the term, Born on the Battlefield.
yes there is a plot to all this, its not just mindless shooting, well acually it might be, no there is a story honest, and its probably got just as much substance than any high octane film.
its there for one reason and one reason only, so every one can shoot guns at each other with complete abandon.
and just as you think it cant get anymore insane, they jump out of a plane
the only thing that comes close to the amount of bullets, is the body count, and i am not exaggerating.
so whats more dangerous than a pussy with a gun?

What a great film though. We've even bought the blu-ray so we can see all the bullets in perfect clarity.

This comment wasn't intended as a put down in any way what so ever to the female of the species, it just that as i was typing i had a vision of the single most boring type of person talking about nothing in particular and everything including the price of potatoes to the consolation of the realignment of the planets, the fact that it was female was to all intents and purposes unimportant, had i been female i would have sited the male gender, as this is not the case and the single thing which eludes my basic understanding is the female, this is the road that i took, i took this road just so other males would know the extent of what i was saying, for the female of the species just reverse the male to female, or the female to male and then go BWA HA HA HA..... phew, i think i have made that clear
