A mere 11 years after the last studio album, Portishead have a new album coming out. Found this on the band's website:
Quote: 23 Jan 2008
We're pleased to announce that we'll be releasing our album, titled THIRD. on April 14th 2008.
The album has 11 tracks and is 49 minutes 13 seconds long.

After 11 years, I would have thought they could have managed more that 11 songs clocking in at 49 minutes, but nonetheless very glad a new album's nearly here. _________________

Portishead are playing on Jools Holland's live show tonight (BBC2 at 10), and it'll get shown again on Friday.
Read an ambivalent review of the album in Q, though Stuart Maconie writing in the Radio Times was a bit more enthusiastic. _________________
