Good find

However i do feel that perhaps the best Bone stories have already been told, and that it holds a perfect place where it is.

so without deliberately pissing on the parade, its that i just don't what to be disappointed.

I would tend to agree that it won't surpass the main comic series, but it sounds like fun nonetheless.
